Bombay (Maharashtra) [India], Nov. 26 (ANI / NewsView): Spantech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. recently worked with DRDO to install a 250 LPM oxygen generator plant at the Chiktan Community Health Center in Kargil.
This plant is able to take care of up to 50 patients in severe conditions. The capacity of this plant will allow these 30 medical bed structures to be completely self-sufficient with regard to their oxygen requirements. Spantech Engineers also installed another 250 LPM oxygen plant in the CHC District Nubra block medical center.
Spantech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. was tasked by the Defense Bioengineering and Electrometric Generator Laboratory (DEBEL), the life sciences wing of DRDO, to install 2 PSA factories to provide the essential medical oxygen supply to the areas high altitude valley of Nubra and the village of Chiktan in Kargil. district and Ladakh.
During the COVID oxygen crisis, it was difficult to provide oxygen cylinders to areas as remote as the village of Chiktan. As a result, DRDO was tasked with setting up oxygen factories in remote areas of the country, especially those near the border. These oxygen plants were developed by DRDO and funded by PM CARES. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated all of these factories on October 7, 2021.
Raj Mohan NC, the Managing Director of Spantech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are honored to participate in this incredible DRDO initiative as part of the PM CARES program and will continue to help ensure the availability of pure medical oxygen across the country. “
Chiktan is a small border village located about 90 km from the town of Kargil with a population of just under 1,300 people. This village is located at an altitude of 10,500 feet above sea level, making it one of the most inaccessible areas in the country. The Nubra Valley is a popular tourist destination in Kargil. Although more populated than Chiktan, the Nubra Valley is located at an altitude of 10,500 which made logistics quite difficult.
Spantech oxygen generators have dramatically reduced these hospitals’ reliance on oxygen cylinders which are difficult to supply in such remote areas, especially in times of scarcity.
Spantech engineers, who are pioneers in PSA oxygen generation technology, have also set up such factories in remote and border areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Spantech Engineers is an engineering, manufacturing and service company established in 1992 and founded by a former IIT Bombay. He has been at the forefront of bringing much-needed innovations through robust gas production solutions and is a pioneer in the manufacture of oxygen, nitrogen and ozone plants using technology. PSA.
The company has come a long way from manufacturing compressed air systems to integration into PSA nitrogen generation systems, PSA / VPSA oxygen generation systems and ozone generation systems. .
