Anyword AI-Based Marketing Copy Generator Secures $ 21 Million

Anyword, an AI-powered platform for fine-tuning marketing copy, today announced it has raised $ 21 million in a funding round led by Innovation Endeavors with participation from Lead Capital and Gandyr Ventures . CEO Yaniv Makover said the product, which brings the company’s total raised to $ 30 million, will be used to bolster hiring, develop Anyword’s technology and onboard customers to the platform.

Anyword’s growth comes as marketers increasingly express their willingness to embrace AI-powered authoring tools. According to a survey conducted by Phrasee, a rival of Anyword, 63% of marketers surveyed would consider investing in AI to generate and optimize advertising content. Statista reports that 87% of current AI adopters are already using – or are planning to use – AI for sales forecasting and to improve their email marketing. And 61% of marketers say AI is the most important aspect of their larger data strategy.

Optimize copying with AI

Anyword claims to have trained a two billion data point copy generation model from A / B test messages across all industries, channels, and marketing goals. Building on this, Anyword customers can create a copy – including titles, sub-headers, email subject lines, text messages, descriptions, and captions – while understanding how different demographics can react to variations in the same copy. Platform tools can connect ad accounts and incorporate keywords and promotions (eg, “new arrivals” and “free shipping”), tailoring the copy to a specific length. Beyond that, they can optimize the onsite copy to display specific messages to specific audiences.

With Anyword, marketers add a URL, summary, or product description to generate a copy. After choosing a format and tone, Anyword creates several versions of the copy, rated and sorted by predicted quality. From there, Anyword can rewrite and display comparisons between variants, improving over time over existing announcements.

“Predicting the effectiveness of a text variation for a goal and target audience requires a special set of data. First of all, you need to know how a variation of text has historically worked for a given audience. According to the Phrasee survey, 65% of marketers believe AI can drive a desirable brand language, and 82% believe their organization would benefit from data that provides insight into how consumers react to that language.

Anyword, based in Tel Aviv and New York, with 50 employees, is competing with Phrasee, which partnered with Walgreens at the start of the pandemic to create an email campaign targeted at the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine. . Other competitors include Instoried, CopyAI, Copysmith, Writesonic, and New York-based Persado AI.
